Look out ! Look out ! Jack Frost is about !

2nd Class Art – January 2014

Look Out, Look Out, Jack Frost is About.

Look out ! Look out !
Jack Frost is about !
He’s after our fingers and toes;
And, all throught the night,
The gay little sprite
Is working where nobody knows.

He’ll climb each tree,
So nimble is he,
His silvery powder he’ll shake;
To windows he’ll creep,
And while we’re asleep,
Such wonderful pictures he’ll make.

Across the grass
He’ll merrily pass,
And change all its greenness to white;
Then home he will go,
And laugh, “Ho ! ho ! ho !
What fun I have had in the night !”

Spring Time

Spring flowers

I went for a walk at my granny’s and I saw lots of signs of spring. I saw cows in a field, frog spawn and I saw some bird’s nests in trees. 🙂

I went for a walk and I saw daffodils, I heard the birds chirping, and lots of other signs of spring too. 🙂

#anfomhar- taking part in the twitter project

First Class Nature Walk

First Class went on a nature walk around the grounds of the school. They found some lots of leaves and nuts. They took part in the twitter project #anfomhar  – telling them about what they saw on their walk. Lots of schools from different parts of the country also wrote about what was happening to nature where they lived.

Activities ranged from giant darts competitions, totennis, basketbal, eggand spoon races, three legged races, and of course some running races. We were lucky that the day held up and we were abletohold our outdoor activities.
