START Project

Girls from 6th class participated in START competition 2017 run by the Health Research Board. To help us in our efforts Caroline Hurley a PhD student based at UCC visited the school for 5 weeks to check in on how the project was developing in class.

The girls research was called “Colourful Concentration’ and asked the question do coloured pens help children concentrate better than using blue pens? The research information and the findings were analysed and published in a poster.

Well done to everyone involved in conducting their first published research trial.
